ABOUT CHURCH

WHO WE ARE

Covenant Blessings Church is composed of a body of believers whose desire is to know Jesus and to make Him known within our families, workplaces, communities and world. Our heart is to carry His presence and truth in an ever-increasing measure - ministering to people from diverse socio-economic backgrounds, walking in supernatural power and being vessels of love, life, freedom and transformation to the broken world around us.

We are a non-denominational church inspired and ignited by the life and message of Jesus Christ. We adhere to the Bible as our doctrine and our core beliefs will always be centered in Jesus’ life, character, teachings, and message of redemption.

Our family is forever growing and we invite you to come be part of our legacy; there’s always room for more.

OUR HISTORY

Founded in July 1981 by the late Pastor J. Nap D’Souza, “The Little Flock Church” was composed of 8 believers who met regularly in Bandra, Mumbai. By 1992 the church had grown to 70 participants and a decision was made to divide the church into three separate congregations - gathering in Thane, Vasai and Bandra.

In 1995, after establishing a new church vision to ‘know God and His Covenant and become a channel of His blessings to all nations,’ the church was renamed Covenant Blessings Church. Outreach to the poor began the next year and has remained an integral piece of CBC’s makeup.

In 1997, Pastor Nap went to be with the Lord and the mantle of leadership fell to his son, Basil D’Souza. Basil, and his wife Cathy, have remained the Senior Leaders at CBC since, cultivating an environment of family, friendship, connection and loyalty.

Shortly after the change in leadership, CBC began to host ‘Schools of Ministries’, a training initiative for Christian leaders, workers and aspiring leaders. What was initially launched only in Mumbai, has now spread to many cities across India.
